Haven’t posted for about 3 weeks … like life it’s all pretty full on lately (just set up a new blog) and it’s now just subsiding…yay.. I have been stoked for the last couple of weeks at Codi’s love of drawing!!! It was amazing to me, I was over the moon. I would draw in texta, a big tree and all we hear nowadays is Teeeee, Teeee. 18-19 months is a fantastic age.. It is great to hear him try and say words…triangle (angul), car, circle (curcle), apple and just today, sun.

List of words Codi can now say (bubbles, auntie, mumma, daddie, nan nan, pop pop, star, swing (seng), triangle (angul), car, circle (curcle), apple and just today, sun. The amount of words he can say, and the words he understands differs a great deal. From just thinking about it, I would say he can understand about 40 words.. but I think I will pay a bit of attention going forward.

I am really happy these last two weeks, he has taken to drawing, coloring in (manic scribbles), puzzles, saying the names of shapes and objects I draw and put up on the wall. I noticed he also likes to decorate things (must buy some glittery stuff).

It’s funny when I talk about this, it’s like oh yeah…but to me it’s amazing, since it’s my first child I suppose. I love just seeing and praising Codi when he is motivated himself to learn new things and I am there if he needs any help…
